Ingreep verliep goed en nazorg eerste weken is accoord maar daarna is er geen nazorg meer tenzij je zelf belt waar geen stimulans van uit gaat. Ik vind de nazorg onvoldoende en in vergelijking met andere klinieken opvallend weinig. Een digitale groep of iets dergelijks met een dietist zou veel beter zijn. Ik ben veel minder afgevallen dan verwacht en dat heeft meer dan 1000 euro per kilo gekost.

Why should I undergo endoscopic treatment?
Endoscopic therapies such as the Weight Doctors SLEEVE®, hydroGMA or the gastric balloon are performed via the mouth and oesophagus – without an incision in the abdomen and without scars, usually as an outpatient. We clarify which therapy suits you in the consultation.
Will I have to go hungry during treatment?
No, going hungry is not the goal. Our treatments address the feeling of hunger itself: the gastric balloon and the Weight Doctors SLEEVE® help you feel full sooner, while GLP-1 and hydroGMA target the hormones that control hunger. In everyday life, your doctor and the Weight Doctors® App support you.
Can I be treated if I have gastritis or other stomach problems?
That depends on your symptoms and on the treatment. Tell us in the consultation which symptoms you have and which medicines you take – your specialist will then check whether and when a treatment is an option for you. Sometimes, for example, an inflammation has to heal first. Please have acute stomach pain checked by your GP first.
Does German statutory health insurance cover the costs?
For the Weight Doctors SLEEVE®, BARIATRICS, RESHAPE and REVISION, there is a chance of cost coverage where there is a medical indication in line with the guidelines. The gastric balloon and hydroGMA are self-pay services, and German statutory health insurers do not currently pay for GLP-1 therapy. More under Health insurance and cost coverage.
