How skin tightening with Renuvion works

Renuvion combines helium plasma, also known as cold plasma, with radiofrequency. The energy is delivered deep into the tissue and triggers a reaction there: the collagen fibres contract immediately, and at the same time the body’s own formation of new, firm and elastic connective tissue is intended to be stimulated. In this way loose skin tissue tightens from the inside out, not by external pull – without conventional tightening surgery.

The aim is firmer, smoother contours and better elasticity of the skin – without large incisions and with a shorter recovery than after a conventional operation. Because the effect arises from within, Renuvion combines well with liposuction, which additionally shapes the contour.

How effective is Renuvion after a bariatric procedure?

What does non-surgical skin tightening cost?

The cost of skin tightening with Renuvion depends on your starting point, the treatment area and the extent; it starts at approx. €4,500. Renuvion is usually less expensive than surgical tightening or a body lift. You receive an exact cost estimate after the initial medical consultation, for which a fee of €30 applies under the German medical fee schedule (GOÄ).

Health insurance does not cover the costs: skin tightening with Renuvion is regarded as a purely aesthetic procedure, and statutory health insurers in Germany do not pay for it. It is a self-pay service – privately insured or paid for yourself.
